awesome thats just insane sweeeeeeet
crazy. That one hes about to do doesnt even look like his tire is gonna roll it. Maybe just fisheye. Thats definetly "techgnar"
this picture has to be a POD, and it is fisheye. the log just curves away from you in the picture, and the background shows it too. look at the top right for example.
they should have a race on this course.... i would be videotaping this awesome uhhhmmm carnage filled turn?
So someone has actually been doing some work of GMG?... to the point that you can ride it again?
last year you could barely hike it ....nice line

damn. had to be northshore. SICK pic. POD for sure....props to the rider too, hope you made it down ok
i would allready be down the hill... on my ass half deadthe bike still falling and about to to my limp corps
That looks Incredibly fun to ride! I love shore and wish there was some nice shore around here in the east coast.
yah dude you can tottaly see the trees bending from the fish eye still thats a really gnarly logride
yea its a fish eye neils. look at the trees in the back... and a normal lense couldnt get all of that in the shot

We started down GMG a few minutes after the ambulance drove up the road to pick up my buddy when he knocked his teeth out and broke his arm on Jerry Rig. They offered to take his bike, so myself and the guy in the photo kept riding.
after you cross air supply, there's a steep skinny to drop, then jump over a tree stump- he endo'd over the tree stump

Check out the movies NS Extreme 7 or 8 (I'm not sure which one it's in), but the Flow Show guys hit up GMG, there is some crash footage on that stunt from the first couple tries, then they nail it.
Wicked trail, lots of skinny's with some super steep lines and old school roots, rocks and rolls. Scared the crap out of me, I did a lot of walking.

For Video footage, get a copy of NS Extreme 7 or 8, the line gets ridden in one of those movies.
The trail hardly gets ridden anymore, it will be falling apart now, those lines were made for filming the movie, more than as permanent lines.

Oh, and towards the bottom of the picture, the steps get tighter and harder to ride, plus the drop off to the right, you will fall about 20 feet down the steep slope (see cliff) with lots of rocks to break your fall.
The rider in the picture is at about the last safe bail out point, he can lean against the stump and stop there. It takes killer balls to even roll onto that stunt, it takes mad skills to ride the whole thing including the 15 foot tech drop at the end (not in picture).

i love GMG it's a shame they're getting rid of GMG, pink starfish and air supply..

sad days, very sad days
sad days, very sad days
Ridden this line many times. How sweet it is and you should really see what is after that section.?!
That's odd, this guy came all the way from North Carolina and cleaned everything on the whole trail first try.
I've ridden that trail and trust me its way nuttier than what that photo shows. Up top is even sketchier with nothing but steep natural chunder.
Oooh Weeee! That is an excellent shot!!
*The mix of Fear, Fun, and a pinch of "Be aware of your mortality" make for a truly engaging photo.
**I'll definitely be recreating this on a smaller scale when I get back to building my trails next season.

Its on Fromme but I think it's either torn down or going to be torn down. Trails like this one people used to ride on XC hardtails back in the day. A friend of mine rode most of that trail on a fully rigid just for shits.

Is this still kicking around on GMG, has it rotted since last year or is it just on a part I have missed somehow?
