its cause he's runnin a hydro gyro so if he has a shifter on the bars it defeates the purpose of the gyro....

To sam, Shimano's XTR line is electronic this year. It has servos in the actual derailleur to shift it. The wireless thing in VERY experimental at the moment, and neesd a lot of work.

did u guys hear about the air shifters? or the water powered breaks? all really good ideas but in the end not very practical...
  • + 0
flag fr112358 (Jan 1, 2009 at 20:15)
Only reason Air and Water aren't used is the thermal expansion.

flag sam4412 (Jan 2, 2009 at 4:54)
lmao water brakes imagen that on a cold mornin
  • + 0
flag bikerdude012 (Jan 2, 2009 at 21:12)
supposedely the water brakes were super powerful, like the slightest touch would throw u over the bars, so they had to discontinue them, and the shifters worked fine, but were very pricy and had a big air can that had to attach as well
  • + 0
flag thatdownhillkid (Jan 2, 2009 at 21:20)
wouldn't be any different than normal 5.1 DOT fluid. neither will compress much. and why the air can? normal brakes don't, and i bet you could run most of the brakes today with water in them with atleast some success.

the only problem with the hydro gyro is that you have to get use to the hight

flag fr112358 (Jan 5, 2009 at 16:20)
Im personally a fan of the higher bars, I dont like being hunched over.

It's Cam McCaul's bike... Which could mean he's put a sticker on the frame with his name on and that it is the standard Remedy frame. Idiot!

flag eddiethekid (Aug 4, 2008 at 15:26)
you're all wrong...yes it has Remedy written on it...its far from the standard remedy we know. Its got totally custom geometry for Cam and is loosely based on a XS Remedy frameset, of course the decals are custom too...but not hard to imitate should you want to
