I've seen quite a few shots with really good scenery and backdrops from scotland but this one takes the prize!
The scenery is incredible, and the atmosphere poetic, the colors are awesome, and the trail looks epic. That's a nice POD !

in all fairness pinkbike isnt a nature website, it is a bike page and i think that pod should be down to the skill of riding and not the "nature" around it. anyone can do that jump. the biker might aswell not be there, it might aswell be a picture from a david atonborough book.
so although this is a fantasic picture with great scenery i personally thing that future pod's should revolve more around the skill and teqnigue of riding and not the location or scenery that surrounds it.

pinkcar its called picture of the day not best trick or best rider of the day. its about how good it looks but I reckon this pick would have looked better with a better rider this guy looks stif in the air.
but i think anyone would enjoy to go for a ride there...looks so funny.

Not everybody can do a flipwhip, but does that mean that they are not enjoying what they are doing? I know that for me, the scenery, the locations, the travelling, the people I've met and the whole experience of being out there are all part of why I ride. I'm sure I speak for plenty of other riders as well.

i agree this is a riding site not about the place you ride i think pods should be of good riding skills any1 can do that tiny jump that he is doing!!!
oh dear oh dear... seems you've missed the point entirely (and you were so close). Yes this IS a riding site, made by riders, for riders. Where you ride is just as important as what and how you ride. The guy could have just been standing next to his bike and this would still be a very worthy POD. Believe it or not, but there is actually more to biking than just hitting sketchy DJ's at your local park - there's a whole world out there (you know, with nature and that)...
we no it isnt about just hitting crazy dirt jumps and stuff

Pinkcar, i think your just jelious, this is such an epic picture, set amongst a hugely epic trail, most people dont even dream about riding such a mint place as this, let alone getting a pod for it. so if you aint got anything nice to say, i thinky you should shut up.

i agree that there isn't much skill to be seen in the photo, but i think scenery can count just as much. one of the greatest things about any kind of mountain biking is how often we get do it in the most beautiful places in the world.

throw down a crazy trick make it look nice and see if it makes POD
then everyone can say what they have to say about your style

The reason that this should be (and is) POD is because it makes me want to ride. Granted the riding is not impressive, but that's not what this shot is about. I think all POD's on pink bike make me ask "do i wish I was there" or "do I wish i could do that" and if the answer is yes, then it deserves POD. And YES, I do wish I was there. Pinkcar, if you have nothing better to do than put a million comments on POD then maybe you should spend some time riding trails like this and just relax and enjoy riding.

there is a bike. there is scenery. perfect shot if you ask me. POD> picture of the day. it means exactly as it is said. the best quality photo for that day. it isnt BBTOD>best biking technique of the day. you guys are way to critical if you knew anything abou tpictures you would realize this.

looks like home. ace, just goes to show, scotland may be wee but we have some amazing and awesome scenery here and some wicked trails, maybe we should set up some sort of exchange system with the canadian guys, swap for a week or two, I reckon that they would be suprised by what this place has to offer.

....buddy, maybe you havent been biking befor or somthing, but our sport is all about nature. mountainbiking is about riding the nature that your surounded with. not everywhere in the world do people have wicked trails to ride...so what if hes not throwing down a gnarly trick..hes out there having fun ripping around home town... and last time i checked that was the point of biking... mountainbiking didnt start off doing insane tricks and shit like that...it was just a couple guys rippin down the local hill...and if you cant apreciate you should seriously consider doing somthing else with your time than saying what you think the picture should be of...its pic of the day for a reason, and thats because its f*ckin dope lookin...and we can relate...that involes nature...think about it..anyways, keep shreddin man its a awesome picture in my books
