Carbon fiber levers weigh maybe 20g less than alu levers, and they break in pieces while hit what u must have noticed. CF is much more resitant for bending and most mechanical deformation than alu, but it is not resistant for hits. Alu usually bends when hit, brakes only when hit really hard. WC guys use it because they are paid for that... and their sponsors who want to sell that crap to normal people, want them to use it...

if you dont want to do that have them a bit loose so you can move them and it will save you

szfetbb: where do you see carbon lever broken? The lever body is broken and it is made from magnesium. I own Ultimates and can say that they are quite flexy. Carbon lever doesn't act there...

'szfetbb' the carbon lever didnt brake, the whole lever body broke off. so to say carbon is weak is wrong, as clearly the lever stood up to the impact a lot better than the lever body.
