whoooahhhh! that is absolutly HUGE!! props the the rider for this one! and the photographer for the awesome shot! and he has single crowns! i think my jaw has just dropped! POD!
Props to rider for jumpin' such a big drop, props to photographer for good photo! Really hardcore drop, gotta have big balls to jump it! Bender comes on my mind when I see this pic
f**k the bike he is riding..imagine the feeling when you go down 40 in 2 seconds and land on the sand ! so shut up about the bike or how he is riding not much people on this site knows what it`s like to feel the drop..and 40 feet it a long way
my geek senses indicate that: the acceleration due to gravity on earth is 10m/s^2, this drop is about 12m tall, that means that its going to take just over 2 seconds to hit the ground, therefore his final vertical speed on impact must be about 22m/s or 72km/h or 49mph. it could then be argued that the rider + bike is probably going to weigh about 200lbs (he looks pretty skinny), or 91kg, that would then mean that the rider has a momentum of 1092kgm/s and an impact force of about 2002newtons, this force being like that of having the engine block of a lorry sitting on your chest! interesting stuff eh?
wtf..? but yeah i agree .. but the impact forse for this is different its not a flat landing ..but a sloped one.. how do you do the math on that.. with your geek senses.. ?
This is the most comments I've ever seen for one picture! it proves that going big is still awesome no matter what, bike, rider, drop, jump etc etc has to do with it
"tgunn" just for the hell of it......... its 10993, because he missed a space between two of them! but all the same and i agree that he needs that many neg props!
