sweet pic.
He so intense while the background makes you want to run through a field of flowers. I personally don't think it should make Picture of the day but it would definitly make a Background of the day.
its kind of a cool pic but i dont think its worthy of pod, theres way better pics on here that deserve pod more than this
a picture of a guy who can do 360's off 40ft drops and they get a pic of him riding through a field of flowers, not darrens best pic,
This pic has very nice colours and lighting, although if the rider was doing a big drop or jump it woyld be MORE Pod-worhty. This pic is still very nice...
it's because lots of people on here don't appreciate a picture unless it is someone hucking off a 40ft drop.
POD is about more than just sick riding. It's about the amazing scenery that surrounds us when we ride too. I like this pic, great scenery and good photography skills.
theres an outline around the trees photoshopped sky ? but yeah a great pod scenery and everything makes this photo great

Great bike, great rider, great background, but for my personally, it shouldn't be POD, but i can see where they are coming from, there hasn't been a XC pod in a while.
The trees in the background look like some sort of background from those warhammer 40k games i used to play. you know the table top strategy game thingy.

don't make me give you the "It's not all about huckin huge" speech. there is more to a good PHOTO than a good TRICK. it is PHOTO of the day, not TRICK of the day
its still not that compelling of a picture. if it wasnt a pro mtb rider it wouldnt even have been considered.

Jesus H there is a link in my comment,click on it to see who i am talking about, it is another picture that made POD cause of good scenery and basic riding. so YES it would be considered even IF it wasn't a pro.

Nice pic but I'm a bit distracted by the (photoshopped in?) sky. The horizon to sky is a bit funny...

Great quality pic. Ppl seem to want it to be more flashy with a big drop or sick move. What makes this pod worthy is how great it is in its simplicity, great quality and amazing background.
http://www.pinkbike.com/photo/2392343/ this should have been chosen out of his shots, not this one. the other one shows the "pretty flowers" and the guys bike, and the trail!!!, so much better "composition" than this one. Alot more action in the link I posted. Props to the photographer for a great shoot! just this isnt the one I personally would have chose as a POD.

i understand the artistic point of view here but this is not even close to a POD sorry just my opinion
