Yeah, I waited 2 days to watch the BMX on NBC and when it finally aired it was on for no more than 5 minutes. Thanks a lot for covering one of the most exciting and freshest of Olympic sports. Who wants to watch hours of beach volleyball??? And, please don't try to tell me that those butch chicks are hot. Gross.
they should definately have more biking in the olympics. the diving and shit gets boring after a while, would love to see some dh. there are some sweet sports that could be in the olympics- 3 legged race, sack race, water balloon toss..

NO, BMX racing should definitely be in the Olympics, aswell as vert, park, dirt, mtb DH, 4X, BMX DH, trials, flatland and slopestyle

Yeah I agree it would have been nicer if the shot was crisper, but the sheer historic value, and the fact that everyone of of those riders is pushing harder than they've ever done before outweighs any gripes with quality.
I'm liking the fact that BMX racing is an olympic sport now. This opens the door for MTN someday..... I can't wait to see it. This is a really nice shot, respect.
they already have mountain, but its xc. you cant really have dh because a lot of the olympic venues dont have mountains big enough near them. though you could have a slopestyle type of thing, i highly doubt that will make it to the olympics before it would make it to the x-games.
The IOC require events to be held within 2hours travel of the main stadium (where possible). I can't think of many countries (aside from Holland) that can't provide a 2-3 min course somewhere within that criterea. Nowhere does it say it has to be on a mountain...there's plenty of possibilities, quarries, mines, and hills, urban courses and even high rise buildings. Just takes some creative thinking and skilled building.
ya it's to bad Graves fell cause I was kind of going for him since the Canadians didn;t get in to the mens final...Sick shot it deserved to be pod!!!
Yeah, we were pretty lucky here, the BBC gave it quite good coverage...still, could've been a bit better.

Our track in Chula Vista was open to the "Olympic" hopefuls for the sole purpose of "Olympic" contenders contending prior to the Olympics, not for letting anybody out there thinking they can ride an epic track. Imagine the carnage if it was open to anyone. Your attitude sounds alot like some Americans, the ones most people dislike! By the way, BMX was our invention, so your Stroms wouldn't have his medal if it wasn't for us! Bet ya Stromsbergs doesn't win in 2012!!! LOL on you renars!!!
bmx racing is so f*cking stupid!!! it shouldn't even be a sport and yet it's also in the olympics...WTF!!!!!!!!!! and whats with that bar hump they do at the start, maybe if they were riding real bikes they wouldn't have to.
