unfortunatly it is a great timeing and a great shot with a great camera... but i realy dont think it should be pod :/ dont get me wrong its cool but theres definatly better out there
WOW thats a nice water bottle you got there... U drink the same water as me. :O Is there a funny taste in some water bottles.. like sulfur? I like 2 put thos coolaid mixers in my water.. how about u? What do u think about thos crystal lights? I dont mind them... used to hate them... I still like to drink my Coolaid tho.
apparently to get POD all you have to do is take a shot of something that has part of a bike in it, and it doesnt really have anything to do with riding. maybe ill go put my bike next to a river and then throw a rock into the river to make a splash and take a pic of that, i should get POD if i do that right? jeez..... and its not "amazing timing" anybody with a decent camera and any remote idea how to do it could take that picture.
i like the photo and it takes a lot of skill to nail a shot like that but i just dont feel its the real essence of pod. it should be more than just an awesome picture. it ought to show something that takes a higher level of skill. no offense to anyone involved in the picture because its a great shot but maybe it belongs in a new category for "non-riding" pods... just a thought
wait really? THIS is POD? Wtf is happening? I bet the photographer just used a shutter lens and had the guy do this and just took the photo of it spraying. Does not deserve POD one bit.
i'd try it myself, but i don't have the proper camera: fill the water bottle with gasoline, plant lit match in range of the spray as a statement about bikes conquering the oil crisis. someone give it a shot. don't get hurt.
Man I did that once with a smoothie bottle. I didn't know there was anything in it. I was just riding by, saw a bottle with the cap on it, and decided to smash my rear tire into it. Smoothie went EVERYWHERE (thankfully everywhere away from me). It made a pretty little mess.
haha I tire-stomped a mickey dee's cup once... turns out it was full of sticky orange juice and didn't turn out nearly as cool as this. No one was even there to take a picture of that crap all over my shoes....
a lot of commenters here are like, "why is that a POD?!" i'll tell you why, its unusual and interesting and never seen on pinkbike before, thats why, and
pattyosullivan! it is not as easy as you think, so don't undermine other peoples talents unless you can do way better, and if you can do way better, then undermining the talents of those lesser than you is just being arrogant and over prideful
