oh dam
thats so sketchy how that was top of the line when i was in diapers, now imagine what bikes will look like in another 15 years!
how many teeth does that chainring have?!?! I wonder what he was using that bike for does anybody have anyinfo??
That's what I was thinking. Circa 1992. Look at all of the anodized purple on that beast. That is a scary headshock design. Ouch.

I love this for the fact the ultimate cyclist posted it and managed to rip it in terms of appearance

This is so weird, it's actually kind of ... well, no, it's just plain weird.
Things I noticed that totally caught me off guard: The ghetto jiggered up chain guide, and what appears to be a lockout on the rear shock. Well, and the obvious dinnerplate chainring, seriously that thing looks like such overkill.

This is the early years of the DH mountain bike, note the borrowed and retrofitted parts from Road bikes - the Ultegra 600 crank and chain ring thats gotta be somewere around 52th or higher and the fact they left the small ring on there to stiffen up the crank spider, even know its a single speed, the first generation shimano XT derailer and the chain tensioner in front of it holding it in place because derailer return springs were shit back then. And last but not least ...the hiked up road saddle and 6 inch drop stem,... just want you want to do - bring the stem and steer tube closer to yer chest LoL ,This bike would of handled better riding down the hill backwards.
This picture is Awsome, and everyone should appreciate it for all the R&D and testing back then that went into what we ride today, This Dude probably broke so much shit its not funny lol
