He's trying to save weight. If he never hits his derailleur, it doesn't matter what kind it is, so he may as well go with the lightest one he can find. The Saint SS cage derailleur is almost twice as heavy as the XTR M970 GS cage one.

that tubing on the rear is similar to sam hills but his is from a crosser like a part of the fuel tank i think. and those EN coated stanchions are crap they dont sell them coz they only last for about 50 hours of riding so they would constantly need replacing
