yea i know but i might upgrade, and this lense doesnt auto focus with my body, so i was jw if he used autofocus or not
sorry but what do you mean the body doesnt matter? um what about how well it deal with noise? sensor size? autofocus speed/and points?, fps metering modes etc etc. im nt a dumb ass of course a good lens is important but i dont think you can say the lens quality is waay more important. you wouldnt stick fox 40's on an beach cruiser.
The lens affects image quality more directly than the body. Yes, all the points you mentioned are important... but the lens is even more so.
Think a nice frame/fork with average wheels. The frame/fork is the lens, the wheels are the body. Yes, the wheels are important, but they do not impact ride quality as directly as the frame/fork.

yeah, i get your point. I think where the quality of the lens becomes more important would be in image sharpness. Also i think the lens characteristics (telescopic prime etc) are very important to the type of photography. you wouldnt shoot insects with a 10mm lens. (you could but you wouldnt see anything) so iguess in terms of image sharpness and using the correct lens for what your shooting they are maybe more important. yeah i know what you mean but if the wheels suck and cant keep up with the demands that the quality of the fork frame no point having great forks. ive rambled quite alot here. i totally see what your saying though. like i woudlnt bother shooting stuff with a lens that was dodgy and gave really poor results.
