Ha, it's like the opposite of the single pivot theory. "Why make a simple linkage that's somewhat effictive over a wide variety of terrain when we can make a way-too-complicated one that might work better?"

Why would you ride anything other and a Specialized? FSR is the best suspension design out there. Trust me, I've ridden A LOT of bikes.

VPP Then FSR even though they are pretty much the same, me likes VPP better.

VPP is just another way of making a FSR four bar system, but just different enough to get passed the patents. look into it.

It's really not. The axle paths of both designs are completely different. The main difference is that the rear triangle on any VPP bike is completely suspended from the front, while on the FSR it's directly attatched at the bottom bracket area.
