thats such a stupidly designed head tube..
why not sacrifice like 10 grams to make it properly strong?
looks stupid anyway
im so glad i bought an 07 norco

Do you know anything about engineering?

yeh quite a lot actually
why, do you think, have no other good bike companies adopted this design in the 20 years since mountain bikes were first being built?
is it just some revolutionary design whereby reducing the amount of welding in the headtube somehow makes it stronger?
probably not.

do YOU know anything about engineering?

well you don't know much about engineering and geometry either!there is actually a longer weld if you do the math and it's a great idea!

Scott had somehow samekind of design in their DH bikes... Never seen or heard them snapping :S

How is scott not a good company? They are the biggest brand in europe and they pump out a quality bicycle like you wouldn't believe. My scott gambler kills it.

liveless: Scott's headtube design on the gambler allows for head angle adjustment, unlike the norco.

well then i explain: the shortest distance between two points is a line but as you can see this weld goes on a triangles two sides and uniting the two sides of the weld too, so it's much longer and thats why the stress is distributed on a longer distance which means a longer durability

and Scott made something like this but even funkyer around the year 2001 on the "high ocate" but i saw many of them cracked really badly there.
