cool pic
Props on the huck, but from a better angle, it would be deserving POD, but this angle sucks. But I always wanted to drop off one of those man made cliffs that were blasted for highways. Hopefully tomarow's POD will be better. Sorry man......
cool pic, but not POD, i know im gonna get neg props but there's alot better photos out there and this one just doesnt have that wow factor
Pic is simple, with no 'speciall' effects and editing in photoshop, but I think it deserves POD yet. I like this picture
nice drop. u would want to stop before you got that road if there was a car coming. and nice a-line park edition.

yea this shouldnt be pod at all, like sure its a cool drop and all, but it doesnt take skill to take and action pic like this, sry
Exactly, go through thses, better photos taked by a 14 year old (literally)

the thing i like about this pod is its simple, cool and the rider looks like he's having fun just riding. the way mountainbiking should be.
23 feet? are you sure? i mean its a decent pic, but is a crap angle. if it is 23 feet then props to you dude
im not gonna lie this is a horrible pod. i see nothing special about the photography. cool drop but if you want a pod out of it, go back on a sunny day with good lighting and take into account the aperture, shutter speed, angle, etc. you might come back with a worthy pod.
WTF y'd i get negative props for saying wat i said. i said there lots of epicness in this photo and i get minus 30? wow pinkbikers are pretty stupid. NEGATIVE PROPS!!! HERE THEY COME AGAIN!!
apparently people don't like the word "epicness". its been mentioned before how over used the word is. thats my best bet.
i think its because alot of ppl didnt like the POD today, and along with them i dont really see how this photo is "epic"?
I realized something...
If you take pod and reverse it it spells dope
.....
but...
this picture sucks.Jk...(but not really)

Cool pic. Nice to see a plain pic for POD instead of these super-orchestrated epic shots that took about 40 hours of Photoshop tweaking and 40000 dollars of camera equipment to take.
don't get me wrong, this is a really cool picture, but I always thought that PODs are supposed to be exceptional......

Okey, another bad POD.
props to the rider, cuz the drop looks kinda scetchy, but i just didnt like the picture at all. To boring and its nothing special with it..

ha nice i like dis pic,i love da way its by a main road!!!id say its pretty sketchy on da rocks doh!!!its AWESOME DOH!!!!
After reading the last 30+ comments on how it shouldn't be pod, I'm willing to bet that at least half of those people couldn't get that picture to turn out like it did, with the camera set on auto, shooting 6 fps. I'm willing to bet that the other half, wouldn't even hit that drop.
It's really easy to say it's not worthy of POD. It's a crisp photo, perfect timing, great background, location isn't BC, and we should just enjoy the fact that we have un-lazy webmasters who actually change up our Picture of the Day, everyday.

I like the angle from this pic better: http://www.pinkbike.com/photo/2633445/
It also doesn't show that parked car at the bottom.

i agree with gcaprider. plus how many pics on pinkbike have a highway in the background. im likin the clouds and hills too. ive always wanted to do one of those drops. whoever is saying this is small. its not. 23 foot drop is one thing. but when its a natural hit and its a 23 foot drop....pretty ballsy

i like how hes going big, instead of doing some trick the majority of us dont know the name of. Looks like hes having fun to, good on ya

Man this picture is epic i hate all the people above saying its not a good pod
hes hucking and landing on a rocky sketchy ass landing it deserves pod not all this slopestyle bs sure it looks ridiculas and its hard to do but it seems like hucking has died the new redbull rampage was one by a slopestyle rider it seems slopestlye is gonna be the only way to get any recognition from now on ?
it sucks

Thank You! It needed to be said, going big is still cool. time to put the mountain back in mountain biking. It takes just as much skill to huck a drop like this as it does to do an NFC or a superflip or whatever. Happy riding

i'm sorry, but i see alot of great photos on here that havent made POD yet, like alot or ericpalmers stuff is great, but i mean theres alot more talent than this, but i guess its hard to have a fantastic picture everyday
Not too stoked on this POD...pretty average pic. Not that the drop isnt good, it could just use a better angle or something?
I agree with the guy who said there is no way that is 23 feet.......you dont mesure from where you land ..... you mesure from the top of the drop to the top of the landing .... EXAMPLE: there is a 3 foot drop but you air it huge and go 20 feet down ..... you didnt do a 20 foot frop you just aired a 3 foot drop huge......learn how to mesure drops before you say how big it is.
I think the guy near the top making the rock reference was making a joke about the pic being from Newfoundland... You know, "The Rock!"

atta boy adam, POD number 2 from nl, gettin the scene out there.
and bys, it may not be as good as some pod's, but i figured on a riding website the pod should be of sick riding, not just a sick pic, a 23 foot drop is pretty big, so mad props.
