the frame is designed to run any suspension fork ever made.... people run super monster ts on them and they dont break

flag gnarkore (Mar 1, 2009 at 20:49)
the evil imperial was the only frame to have a no questions asked warranty policy. meaning if you break it you get a new one no questions asked

flag S1L3NTR4GE (Mar 1, 2009 at 20:54)
yeah wonder how the warranty works since they are under new ownership

flag gnarkore (Mar 1, 2009 at 22:14)

flag nothingbetter (Jul 20, 2009 at 23:28)
I have an Imp with a 888 as well. I don't worry about breaking the hanger. It's just a peice of flat iron cut in a funny shape. you could make your own with a file and a drill If you do end up breaking it.

i think the evil imperial is allowed to support some small triple crown because of his strong neck and geometry ...but like every bike, a too long fork can reach a lateral breakpoint verry easily ...generally its the top tube where goes the headset that breaks into a single shot after a small jump ...i saw it happen too many times... and now i wonder how to recycle these forks,... im thinking about rebuild the toptube with thick steel ....many grams more but....probably undestroyable

what the f*ck are you talking about
  • + 1
flag oeuptis (Nov 12, 2009 at 5:00)
im talking about the weakness of a bike when you use a too long fork for it... it will bend laterally and it can create severe damage

flag S1L3NTR4GE (Nov 13, 2009 at 20:00)
yeah it can unless the frame is designed to handle any fork any length as evil did and it is covered by there warranty and people have used 300mm on them no problem

flag oeuptis (Nov 14, 2009 at 4:35)
that's a verry good point...if it's covered i will really conside that point!

well it was covered by the original EVIL BIKES i dont know if the new owners are honoring the old warranty or not
