Is there a benefit to having two rear shocks? just wondering. Ive never tried it.

Maybe try the formula for forx... one rear shock is coil-type, the other one, air....

I'm guessing since there are 2 supporting you, there is less weight being distrubuted to the tire, basically meaning less travel being used, meaning more travel TO use.

When the hell was I heckling it? a*shole, why dont you learn to read before making a complete ass of yourself again. Like it was a thought on why there was 2 shocks.

f*ck wow. The bike has a very high leverage ration that's why it has about 12inches of travel. Well in order to support that they need 2 shocks otherwise if only one was used it would have to be pumped to like 500 psi

As far as I know, because of my off-road truck background, 2 shocks and help dissapate (spelling?) heat better, But i'm not sure how hot those shocks would get,
another thing is that its just adds to the set-up process of them. And that it looks pretty cool.

I could be totally wrong though.

get firefox, it has a spell checker. (not a grammar nazi, you were just unsure of the correct way to spell dissipate)

probaly way less stress on the shoxs, so you can run them really sensitive for DH.

what the f*ck is the point in running 2 front breaks?!? and 2 rear shocks lol

flag gemmar (Nov 5, 2008 at 20:16)
yeah. might be better to use a 4-piston disc brake. :-)

ill take the 2 front breaks. I hate how the wheel is tweeked to the left during hard breaking.

plus with putting the shocks where they did, there is a huge amount of leverage on them so they might need 2 because the pressure u would need with one shock would be far to great for it to handle.

^^^^^^ two front brakes means more stoppin power..... even if you have a four piston
a good example is crotch rockets some of em even have two six piston brakes(i know they weigh a lot more)
