Actually replying to the first comment left, Roadbikers are bikers to respect them. Just because they do a different style of riding. You think freeride is better than road but they think road is better than freeride, or just straight up respect you for riding your bike. They can beat you easily on road but probly not on the mountain. I'm sure the comment was just a joke though.

I think its a jump into the water. And then what the hell are the racers staring at? Those guys don't loose concentration to easily, so they must be looking at something cool.

It's Lycra not Spandex and it's not just to keep down wind resistance for f*ck's sake, it keeps body temperature stable and keeps muscles in place.

it makes it gay to just wear spandex? Maybe flip a few pages in a dictionary. 2. sure maybe they can't MTB but lets see you ride like they are. The sport is hard period. Nobody can deny that road biking at this level isn't easy. I've also got a few friends who do both, they road bike for training during the winter and spring and MTB.

I respect Road Bikers, it's tough as shit and if you're trained enough to get any satisfaction out of it, you have to be pretty burly. Maybe cause were always ripping on them for wearing spandex or just being road bikers. Spandex actually helps them in biking. I remeber a few years back peaty ripped on spandex wearing downhillers, now its common to see downhillers (including peaty) wearing spandex at a few world cup races. Spandex helps you in some cases, how does it make it gay.
The downhillers wear it only for worldcups, retards wear it while commuting around town. You're right. If it's in races, it's not gay. Well, it is, but it's needed, so it's justified. I'm done. I'm not gonna argue in pictures anymore.
One last thing. I agree it is pretty un common, im not going to say gay, its un common and wierd looking. Your also right.

OK you retards who think road riding doesn't take skill. I ride MTB. I dirt jump, I DH, I do it all. Last year I got a road bike. I've never been so scared in my whole life as when I hit 47mph through some hilltowns for the first time, and then nearly had a car pull in front of me. Besides that, I've seen a guy on his road bike, clipped in, 23c tires, NO HAND WHEELIEING UP A HILL. How about you also take a close look at the riders in the tour? Have you ever noticed that sometimes, when there is a concrete divider in the middle of the road, guys WILL HOP OVER IT going 35mph? How about descending through alp switchbacks faster than you have ever gone on your DH bike? Don't open your stupid little mouths until you know what your talking about. You have no idea what kind of skill the riders in the tour have.
