You can obviously fall & get hurt, but then wear one when you cross the road & walk down stairs too.

 yes I am always overreacting on that topic, and I do it on purpose. "Aim justifies the means" Adolf Hitler's kind of way. Just getting frustrated with all the well thought "wear a helmet" campaigns hitting the wall of colourful magazines, adds and films with PROs tricking big time or flying big airs without helmets.

I'm finishing writing up some blog article about it. It would be great for me to hear some opinion from you about it before I post it, as you are an action sports photographer, and you are much more inside "the community" than I will ever be. So if you don't mind I would send it over

"Aim justifies the means" but if the means destroy the aim there isn't much point at all is there? There is no need to attack or be defensive, humans can talk and reason without fighting, well some at least

 There's always an urge to be defensive, even if you are bigger, older and smarter than most potential attackers! You know, just to straighten up a bit the tower of Pisa before it trumbles, while you still like it tipped (shit couldn't find a better example I am getting all nutted here late at work)
