37 pounds isnt very light when you think that Treks new Session 88 DH is 37.5 pounds out of the box so yeah.
isn't the demo 37lbs right out of the box as well? and how is 37lbs not very light? i wouldn't say that it isn't light becuase ONE other bike comes out of the box just as light. many other bikes weigh more, so 37lbs is actually good in my opinion.
Dont get be wrong, 37 pounds is light enough, however i would bragg that my race bike was 37 pounds when you can buy a bike that weighs the same. I suppose it has to do with rider preference, and stuff like that.

im not dissing specilized but iron horse were way better and they went with the monster theme aswell

the 09 demo 8 I is 40lbs flat out of the box, because of the heavy spec tires, i think the 8 II is 38 out of the box, sams race bike is 37, and you cant buy that
how the hell does freirider no how much sams bike weights? Have you personaly seen and held that bike in your hands?
Perhaps he read it in the internet or something. Also, how many people do u know who can tell the weight of someting by holding it in their hands???

yeah but considering the demo is a monster huck proof bike, 37 pounds is mega light, just my opinion though, am i allowed to say i think its prettier and definitely cooler than the trek?

The backdrop of the photo looks like its southern california. i live just south of where this photo might have been taken. i think it's near Cardiff by the sea. Im stoked for Hill this racing season. hes gonna kill it with the demo he's got. i wonder why he left iron horse for specialized. iron horse is more race bikes and specialized has more freeride/slopestyle bikes, Thiough the demo is a race bike as well as a freeride bike. I saw a guy at fontana this past weekend who had a demo with the same paint job. it was hot and i think he won his race class.
No, the front fork was the same color as the two-tone on the bike. the bottom half of the fork was maroon.

Its gonna be pretty exciting watching these guys rippin it up on spesh. people will start to realize that the Demo 8 is a real contender (and always has been) and maybe they'll start selling them in the UK again Get on!!

to rideayeti... the 303-r-dh is only available as a frame...so if it was 30 pounds out of the box that would be one heavy ass bike
this will be a very interesting experiment, hope it works. can't wait to see what results they both get.
