Hmm how? this is a pro spec new adapted geometry frame, so probably not the most valid comment ever.

Im not doubting the crack, simply saying that you cant judge this bike by one that your friend has, as i said, this one has been tested, adapted, tested, adapted. Its not a standard demo.
It cracked very easily on the cold forged link, straight down the weld. it was shocking engineering on that link. so dont neg prop ollie, they do crack, i've heard of lots of 07s cracking- even some under the headtube when running 40s.
Isn't that the swing link thats cracked? I admit that I was wrong, but I would like to point out that if its the swing link it isn't a structural member of the frame. A lot of companies (Trek is one) use two piece swing links. So if that link split down the middle, the bike is fully functional and wont collapse or anything. Unlike a HEADTUBE break....and we all know what bikes I'm talking about....
I love comments like shitty frame it cracks, I saw the cracked one... go buy karpiel armageddon with monster, put 3" gazzas, Gustav's 250mm rotors and go dirtjumping - U will enjoy a reliable bike... still in my opinion Demos are unnecessarily overbuilt...
well, shit happens, but demo is still one of the most solid bike ever, you wont find to much pic like this. U probably would be able to count the on your fingers
there are no undestuctible bikes, but some crack very rearly and some are made by kona
just kiddin kona is not tkat bad
tight ?

It doesn't have the adjustable shock mount position as the stock Demo 8 has. I guess you don't need it when you're Sam Hill.
No it's much too heavy to keep the shock mount.
Actually I wonder why they did that, I noticed it before but I don't get it...

I'm willing to bet (not only because I'm sure the frame was built to Hill's specs) that it was done to reduce weight.
Also, I noticed there are two bolts through the rear upper suspension link that is NOT on the stock frames. Any ideas? I'm stumped.
They are on the stock frames, on all the magnesium link ones. My Demo has that. It's because they can't weld magnesium like they can with the aluminium one, so they bolt the two halves together.

you're sure its Sam's? where is the Gravity crankset? gold stem? maxxis tires?
those details make Sam's bikes, SAM's bike lol

i have heard from a friend that thats a demo 7 and since he has supposedly ridden the bike the boxxer fork sucks
I heard from a friend of my best friend that this is a stumpjumper with plastic parts around it, so it looks like demo 9 - an enhanced version of demo 8 made specially for Sam Hill
sorry but that's a lie... and im pretty sure cody warren (decline team america member) has ridden the bike
