nice man love it!
racers have no need for 8 in rotors. You cut weight by running 6 and 7 inch rotors. I ran 6's front and rear until I got my heavy dh bike. Now it doesn't matter.
Plus your not going for an all day ride... your doing one run as fast as you can so having extra rotor size is meaningless.

btw that's why you see most of the top pros running smaller rotors. They shave grams any way they can. Rotor weight just adds to what they are trying to cut out to begin with. NTM the point in not using your breaks as much as possible will make you faster. I rarely ride or slam on my breaks in a dh run. I prefer to just pin it and pivot into turns going too fast than slamming my breaks and losing precious seconds. That's what good tires are for.
weight past 50% of the wheels innerds is rolling weight which means that a big enough disc at
the front counts itself out in terms of weight because of the rolling speed bet you didnt know that mr paragraphs

IMO peaty should still be on an Orange. Hes a brit... he should be riding a british frame. But that's just my half British side talking
isnt that the boxxer blackbox? i dont think its the 2010, it doesnt have any writing on the stanchion...
Why would a pro rider have to have the marks a consumer level fork has. I bet he has the 2010 internals in those forks even without the 35mm stanctions.
Oh and t3h1337r y would he run 2010 boxxer internals on his bike when he can get blackbox which powns all

It's FOR RACING ONLY. Read my post above. I'm surprised more people haven't heard of running smaller rotors for racing purposes.
BTW what makes you think that their production bikes being sold to the public would have them. This is a pro's bike setup for the pro racer. There is a bunch of stuff on the bike that the normal person buying it wouldn't get. Everything from suspension internals to frame geometry and design. Factory riders bikes are all custom made to their specs. Including welding up the frame differently just for that rider.
