  • + 3
flag runner (Apr 11, 2009 at 13:37)
Because foam weighs less than mud

flag nnorrcoo (Apr 14, 2009 at 12:12)
so your saying that sam is so concerned about wieght that he actually puts foam in the peddles to stop mud from getting in?

wow, im starting to think he is an XC wight weenie

flag sd52bad (Apr 14, 2009 at 12:17)
Some of the foam (like the bits by the shock) is to stop noise.
But thats the only reason I can think of for the foam in the pedals..

Well from what I can see, he is running mud spikes, so yes.

there was an article in dirt mag where they made a replica and they used loads of this stuff as apparently it repells mud ie stops it sticking to it.

flag gnarkore (Jan 2, 2009 at 9:48)
also for muddy conditions so mud doesn't get into the shock and make its performance suck

is that his custom bike? the mix of a 6point and sunday geo?
  • - 2
flag dillonchamberlain (Jan 1, 2009 at 1:16)
i think he has it set up so that its a shorter frame but the rear triangle of a medium frame.
so its completely custom.
  • + 1
flag extremedhracer (Jan 11, 2009 at 2:30)
the rear ends are all the ssame size.
sam ran medium height but with the top tube length of a large, but the frame had completely different geo. to any other sunday so they may aswell have just alled it the iron horse sam hill
