its agressive all mountain, so saving that xtr crankset may be worth it
also all u really need is two front chainrings

Ya three chainrings seems a little excesive even for AM. And ya, a bashguard could save you some money in the long run.

MRP long range patrol was delivered wrongly, so now waiting for the right one. It becomes indeed 2 chainrings and a bashguard, but it's okay for now.
