I think you guys need to realise, that first, its the mods opinion, and mainly, that there isnt going to be a "best POD/Pic" every day all year round. Just dont always expect yourself to be blown away each day.

as for ciaran500's comment, the angle is set this way to make it look different, as it is a small drop. so a straight angle would make it look shit as the drop is only a feet or 2.

how come there is not a splash of mud, no scratches or marks on anything? looks like she put all new stuff on just for a photo, this does not capture the spirit of mountain biking at all.

the very FIRST thing i do when i get to work is check out the POD....it usually amps me up somewhat to start my day. As much as i am obviously all for chicks getting POD i think they need to be ripping it more and not just be like 'im a girl so get kudos for even being on a bike'.
Don't want to sound like a hater here cause but i think the pic of my first ever hip jump at whistler should have beaten this hands down as POD.....sure its lacking in style but the cluelessness of what im doing and how much fun im having totally comes accross.....anyone else agree?

look, it's less than 24hrs 'til the next POD so....let's see and hope for better. Any picture's gotta be better than staring out an unrideable spot cuz winter time has got bike and rider by the balls!!!

To all you guys who have time to constantly diss the POD all i have to say is spend more time riding your bikes and less time bitchin about a photo that will only be posted for twenty four hours. And maybe while your out rirding you'll be able to snap some shots "worthy" of POD, then you wont be able to bitch and moan when your pic is POD. Anyways, theres my rant, HAPPY RIDING

yep its a nomad and nice pi cameras at a weird angle but still really nice pretty rider great scenary and nice bike
how is that a pod?? anyone can get dressed up in all the gear and have someone take a picture of them doing a 1/2 foot drop...pods should be the real bikers doing 30 foot drops or 360s over 20 foot gaps
pods arnt the people who do the biggest drops and largest gaps thats not wat any kind of mountainbikin is about is just about getting out and rideing and havein fun if u dont realise that then u dont know wat a real biker is
its not that good for a pod im sure the photographer could have got a cooler pic on some other obstacle but props for the chick ridin

is all this whining what tough badass real dh,frs do when there not riding? Or am i just reading more of the "pink" portion and not so much of the "bike" portion of this site? I know the true souled-out riders can't possibly have time to complain this much. I better stop submitting too...
camera angle is bad. overall a pretty uninspiring photo. think of how much better this would be if the camera were angled so we could get a feeling of the slope of the terrain.

This is the WORST f*ckIN POD IVE EVER SEEN. its a girl riding down a little hill, big deal okay anyone can do that....I can do that on a tri-cycle. Another point is yes okay its a very crisp and clear image, but that has nothing to do with the actual picture. all you have to do is have a really good camera and steady hands. What im trying to say is why the f*ck would you make this picture POD, i understand its a girl but that doesnt make any of a difference.
maybe "pod" isnt supposed to be the best pic in the world on a given day, maybe its just to keep us entertained with new shit every once in a while... its not called "best pic in the universe"... maybe there should be a BPITU? maybe bmx is so crazy-urban-thug that canadians dont get it. maybe mtb is so insanely versatile that bmx'ers are intimidated. they are all bikes and they are all funner and more accessible then creek boating or motocross or bashing gates on an f&@*$ jet-ski! i myself enjoy the diversity of pod and vod and am totally bored by pink bike otherwise... maybe i ride more then all of you. maybe not.... oh and props in cyberspace are worthless when exchanging for malt liquor in the real world...
