lookks good Big Grin- shivers are a bit dated but are still super plush compared to newer forks- how heavy is it?

not weighed it yet. the shivers are amazing and still lighter than 888's! i havnt weighed it yet but im guessing its close to 40lbs. it was around 40 with 24seven superfats so i saved quite alot of weight ther.

dont mean to be argumentative but 888's weigh 3.17kgs and shivers weigh 3.95kgs, the only advantage shiver has to 888 is that the suspension reacts quicker over small bumps because the travel is at the bottom, 888 are stiffer and lighter forks. but at the time shivers were the business

that weight is based on the 2004 888's, the new 888's are even lighter if you get the ATA ones, believe me back in 2004 i had shivers on my foes and i changed to what were newly released 888's at the time, lot lighter and stiffer than shivers coz of the extra crown

well yer very true, dont think dh bikes will ever totally be able to be called light lol dh tracks seem to be gettin a lot more of the small bumps now tho, so the return of shiver may well happen, manitou are bringing back the dorado

175, not to bad for a proper paint job and bearings i guess, orange orange would be sweet, or get something unique like florescent yellow Razz
