flag streetstyle (Dec 27, 2008 at 15:06)
hopefully a BB7 or juicy 5

flag odin333 (Dec 27, 2008 at 15:11)
do a BB7 on a Avid Speed Dial 7 with Odyssey linear cable. the Juicy 5 is just the same as the 3 but they make it look nicer. if your going to go hydraulic do a juicy 7, or a White Juicy Ultimate would look amazing.

flag erik74 (Dec 29, 2008 at 14:39)
yep, so does Norco. and i have nothing to make my post skinier. plu, it was over a foot long originally.... kinda stupid for a street bike. especially since my seat tube is only 13"

you shoulda bought a stump post and a shim, would have worked out better.

bike looks good though, do you know how much it weighs?

ruining his frame in the process.

flag jonslater (Dec 29, 2008 at 16:07)
what are you talking about?
  • + 0
flag dylaine (Dec 30, 2008 at 13:04)
stumps require cutting down your seatpost, ruining your frame beyond repair, from there, you can only run that seat, and it causes INSANE stress on your seatstay/seattube gussets ,not to mention damaging them depending how short you cut your ST.
its really pointless for an extra couple inches of slam.
COMPLETELY POINTLESS IMO

i take it you have no idea what a stump post is, i run one, i didnt cut my frame and its just great and as far as not being able to run another seat, what the hell are you talking about. and it doesnt cause any more or less stress then a normal post....

no I don't know what it wieghs. I didn't buy a stump because i like to clamp my seat with my knees doing a barspin and that length (^^^^) is perfect for it

breaks are coming soo, just need a linear cable

flag kyle7 (Dec 30, 2008 at 14:14)
dylan thinks that a stump is a wedge, hes getting them mixed up
  • + 0
flag erik74 (Dec 30, 2008 at 19:07)
so those wedge posts that wedge in when you tighten the bolt ruin your frame?
  • + 0
flag jonslater (Dec 31, 2008 at 8:05)
no, stupid people just think they do. I'm sure if you really over do it then it'll flex the metal...
