i´m not a kona fan, but the left two pix are the same bike and rider.... 
alright every bodey seas that konas suck its just the rider becasue he doesent know how to jump like everyone snapes there frame from casing
yeh and explain all the slower riders casing every jump on fort william and not having this problem !

i see two broken konas and a cast. I broke my leg riding my Kona! does that mean KONA sucks cause of it.. IF thats the case. EVERY single bike in this world SUCK!

ive seen as many snapped demos and a rather few snapped v10's

to snap the new demo 7-8 it would take a 40mph impact straigh on into a solid brick wall, considering the speed the WC riders get up too its not exacly going to happen is it, that and specialized warranty makes the demo just own any thing kona has
o f*ck aye old demos weren't actualy that strong, the new one thou is a completely redigned to deliver the strain al over the bike alot better, the frame is just a tank

well they are offical the strongest frame in the world or at least specailized puts that claim forward
there was a documentry about it which claimed them to be the strongest, but it didnt show them testing other frames only there own, and the only place they tested was the headtube.
kk, u got any pictures of them with snapped chain stays cuz i never seen one, not trying to rip i just never have on the net, i know the olds broke at the rear just like any other bike but i've never seen the new ones with any thing like that
well it was in dirt magazine that sam hill snapped his a few times pre season riding, and im not talking about the newist ones, im talking about the same year frames as these konas
ok thats sam hill, his frames probably drilled out to make it lighter for all we know, the top pros frames are just complete custom and are probably alot weaker than stock since there only made for that one race run if it a rider like sam hill
with specialized behide him sam hills will have all kinds of weird things going on, and i very serioulys bet his frame is complete custom, i actualy have a hunch that all the top pros have there forks and rear shocks custom made to suit them, only got this hunch from the fact gee athertons bike cost £10000, no where is all that extra money going :p
dude, they do, ive known for a while, everything from the gears to the bottem bracked will be custom to save weight and strengthen, i pretty sure peaty's v10 costs around 15K

to be fare its a balance between there being alot and them being shit, if u ask me there just seems to be a batch of kona bikes that are terrible, maybe bad product controle, still i would never buy one for DH thou the new bass looks sick for FR

Heavy 888's? maan kona is the worst peace of shit ever. Worked at a place where they sold this shit. I saw so many broken frames from kona. But mostly from the wrong use by dumb ass kids. But still. Weight is not everything. Quality should be more considered than the stupid weight hysteria people are having these days.

My Cowan broke, too. And it was very expensive! Now my Ns is very strong, but cheaper! `The same happened to my friend! Now he has a Nicolai and a Zonenschein they are the strongest I`ve ever seen!
WOW 2 frames have broken. Ive seen more demo 8s, solid mission 9s and even seen IH and a SC snap. This wasnt on the internet. Stop the kona haters, although i dont like the, there not that bad.

ha ya no lie i dont care how many people defend konas like im sure there is other bikes that have broken before but not any that ompare to the mass amount of destroyed konas that ive seen.
if u work out the percentage of konas that are being riddin and the percentage of other bikes being ridden ofcourse kona will have alot of broken because they have Way more bikes being ridden, if most people rode v10 there would be MORE cracked v10
well still, there must have been a manufacturing fault then?? if thats the case norco have had the same thing yet there arent as many norco haters as there are kona haters,, o well i think that konas are ok bikes,especially for begginers gettin into dh
yea pretty much the same case as the norcos i like konas better then norcos they just have been getting a bad rep.

what u'd expect from a bike company that names there a bike the a scrap, personaly i like the way konas ride and feel, its just they aint build to last wel no modern Dh bikes are if u ask me but kona are certainly a fare bit behide as far are frame strengh is concerned !
i was sitting watching a kona come down the track and realised it had the worst brake jack in the WORLD! Wouldnt even waste my money on one if i was a millionaire.
