The brake assembly is 333$ a end, plus the price of rotors and adapters, which start at about 50$ a end.

Looks like it would break with all of those little links and pivots exposed, but I'm sure it's durable enough.

I was worried about that to,
and im sure in a hard frontal impact it could break them,
however i have not tried this, and dont plan to test this theory.

Yeah for sure.
Not to many brakes ever have a hard frontal impact, you would almost have to forcing them with your hands, or something along those lines.
Its all rear ward impacts.
