ok, i admit....i am out of touch on this.....does this reach all the way to the bottom of the steering tube? is that the same on all forks (diameter at bottom)? or specific to certain forks....and i realize that how much the steering tube is cut makes a huge difference.
Correct -- it reaches down to the bottom. All 1 1/8" steerer tube forks are of a similar diameter, albeit not exactly identical. This is pretty much the same as the Azonic Headlock.
They can range from 9.25 inches to 11.25 inches, measured from the bottom of the crown to the top of the top cap. Of course, they can be cut down too, so you could probably make it as short as 7 inches or so.
