These guys were the truth of live fast die young. 2 of the most promising riders the UK had,

they never deserved to die, why them and not some terorist, they died way to young with a sucseful riding career infront of them, rip guys xx
Live fast, Die young. These two lived very fast, and died too young. Two young rippers that had massive careers in front of them, Ben came 27th at Shladming in the world cup last year. They both has big hopes in a sport they loved. Rest in Peace boys, hope the riding is good up there, if not, build some killer tracks for when we all join you!

Its a shame that such good riders die in a dumb accident - car crash... So sad ;/ I read about a young freeskier, who started to earn sponsorships and win events and died in a car crash on the way to where he was to ski... He was about 17 years old

man this really makes me choke up. i hate to see anything this awful happen to anyone, much more a rider. they will be in my prayers tonigt, same with their families. i hope they are in a better place.

R.I.P lads. These guys really were respected for there riding and characters.....so funy to be around, they made a wet muddy mess of a race seem so enjoyable with the banter!

RIP lads. we have Ben Cathro ,Joe Barnes and a few other lads here in NZ racing. one of these guys had just returned home when the accident happened. all the scots here in NZ raced with black arm bands on to remember these guys and all of them got on the podium. thats a good way to celebrate these guys I reckon.
that is why i dont like cars... metal death trap with a tank full of gas under your ass.. not mentioning all the drivers on the road whom are more dangerous than blind people riding rally's..

The local newspaper, the Craven Herald reported on its website that they died when the red Peugeot 306 car in which they were travelling left the road and hit a tree near Mearbeck - between Settle and Long Preston - early on the afternoon of Thursday 15 January
i dont know ben but every time i went into the shop tom alway came out and made a joke or came to talk to us hell be missed by everyone sounds like they were both great riders too rip
