Haha....yeah...about that... turns out it wasn't a good idea. We've built it up to tiwce that now. Just hard working with dry dirt.

I was wondering, if you're riding the Disco for racing with an 8in rear and 8n travel fork, what are you running in the front with the Apocalypse setup? I'd understand if you wanted a steeper HTA (12in rear and 8in front) for huckin', but since there really isn't a weight efficient 12in fork (you said you had it down to 43lbs!!!), did Karpiel correct the 2009's HTA to support only 8in-10in forks?

It's kind of how mine is like (8in rear, 6.7in front).

The head tube was always made for 8-10 inch forks. It was only modified ones that could ever accept longer forks. I have a 888 WC RC3 in the front of my apocalypse. And it's not the weight, it can't run a 12 inch fork. The HTA was 60 with a supermonster on it...which is just no. lol.

Thanks for the insite, either way fork technology has gotten better so there probably is no need to have a 12incher, just too mass/awkwardness to control (except for Bender).
