definately taller than 25 feet, and look how thick that wave is!!!. A tall wave is one thing, this wave has so much weight behind it waiting to crush down. That is a super powerful wave.
The guys should be around 6 ft tall when he is standing, so I'm guessing it is over 4 of him tall.
yap, if it were a biker and not a surfer.... but its one of the bet pix i´ve seen. awesome!!! btw, it were someting different if a surfer would be POD on pinkbike.... would start to polarisate the users
giantgl0ryh0le is actually right Because if he was wrong, then there would be a wave on a wave and plenty waves on a wave. Sure it's still big but it's not as You'd really think still crazy gnarly!
The only thing I can think of that would compare to this pic would be a biker riding down a mountain escaping an avalanche. And cool observation rebuitwlverine, never noticed that.
While gl0ryh0le is correct the water in the upper portion of the photo isn't going to be crashing with the wave, the angle of the photo makes it seem 10 times thicker.
not all tsunamis are tall, they might be just 3 metres, but they can be hundreds of km long, meaning its a huge mass of water, instead of a thin, tall wave(normal ones)
Well to be honest when someone completely covered in sponsors logos from head to toe, and usually in spandex it doesn't take much at all to make them look silly.
looks nothing like mavericks it's a left break, mavericks is a point break and tsunamis aren't waves just a large bulk of water moved by a diplacement of water this often means tsunamis aren't big just very powerful 'the tsunami' was 12ft above the regular point of water
such a good picture, you can still see his line down from the lip of the wave, he must have got a tow from a jet ski for that, paddling and trying to duck dive that would probably leave you a bit dead! I dont think i'll be trying that anytime soon down at croyde bay!
awesome!!!Huge and hard!!! sick pic too,World Record,Kayak extrem,drop of the 38.7 meters in a waterfall,113 KM/H in 2.9 seconds of free fall. http://www.pinkbike.com/photo/3222492/
a tsunami is not a giant wave as is the general concensus, a tsunami is in fact a surge of water roughly 1or 2ft high that is very powerful and will just keep on moving.
It's the trail of the tow in jet-ski and the rope/handle dragging behind him. On big waves these guys can't paddle in, so they get towed behind a skilled driver and at the perfect time he lets go.
All of you need to learn to do links properly (that's what the little round thing is beside the Bold and Italics icons. Regardless, thanks for the links!!
yeah in the video the wave was in shallow water, really heavy but not very tall, and the water on the face moves really fast. If you fall, body suit or not your skin will look like hamburger meat from the coral.
