what was the outcome of this "prototype"?
  • + 1
flag jcc1015 (Jun 7, 2009 at 17:14)
There was no outcome as of yet, I was talking to one of the owners/builders of the company this weekend at a trail day and he was telling me they will be building sixteen this year, and most of them are preordered. If you want one you better get in touch quickly! Everyone I have spoken to as of yet love the bike. The guy also told me he had just finished testing the last proto stage and it was super stiff. Just get in touch with them and I'm sure they would be glad to answer any questions.

flag me2menow (Feb 14, 2009 at 19:55)

does that company have a site?
[Reply]
  • + 1
flag CBone (Feb 17, 2009 at 8:20)
They do, its www.dobermanbikes.com

As recklessness pointed out it's called Le Pink. This was a prototype that Clint McMahon was ripping at the Highland Mountain Claymore Slopestlye Challenge. They don't have this bike listed on their main site but theres info on their blog with a picture of Clint flipwhipping the last jump (freebird) on the course. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_ozf_vjd4cPg/SM7HdeeLvxI/AAAAAAAAAeM/4FOh8T6qFdM/s1600-h/2009flyerLepink.jpg

I imagine its all in what you want for rear wheel travel. It was used for Highland's Claymore challenge, where some guys were using hardtails, so I'm sure its also dependent on the course.
