??? Something I need to know about it ???
  • + 1
flag shrubber (Jul 5, 2009 at 8:20)
its a cruiser frame designed around cruiser forks. You have put (although lowered) suspension on it, therefore ruining the cruiser geometry (raising bb and slackening head angle dramatically)! no wonder you said u dont like the look of those forks on your bike!
  • + 1
flag Macks (Jul 5, 2009 at 8:27)
Meh, I'll just ride the f*ck out of it, thrash it about and get the most out of it till it can't take it anymore, or I just get bored and buy a new frame... I do fancy some pikes though lol..
  • + 1
flag Macks (Jul 5, 2009 at 8:28)
Just wondering. Where did you get your Molly and how much was it?
  • + 1
flag shrubber (Jul 5, 2009 at 8:44)
yea mate just dont thrash it too hard, im pretty sure those forks would void warrantee on that frame + but xs stress on the headtube, when it snaps i hope ur wearing a helmet

i bought it off a mate who rides for them for £120 haha actual steal

if u wanna buya new one they r about £400 after tax and delivery from the usa, such sick frames
  • + 1
flag Macks (Jul 5, 2009 at 8:57)
Yeah, I'm not bothered if it voids the warrenty. I got the frame, forks, headset and brake for £150... I might just end up buying an 08 Capital or summink, 09 is ridiculously expensive.
  • + 1
flag shrubber (Jul 5, 2009 at 9:15)
150 aint bad at all for frame forks and brake!

09 capitals do ride a lot better its worth the extra money, ring up CRC and say u will give em £320 they usually agree, 2 of my mates did it
  • + 1
flag Macks (Jul 5, 2009 at 9:18)
I'll look into it! Still want a set of pikes though Razz

Hooligan... Cruiser frame? It has an integrated headset, a spanish BB and chainstays claimed shorter than a Cap 2.
  • + 1
flag shrubber (Jul 6, 2009 at 7:26)
yea great! all things which dont effect the geometry of a cruiser - that is a really good point youve made there! all irrelevant! nice! maybe i will try and find a photo of the hooligan frame looking comfortable on cruiser forks and with 5 inch cruiser bars (basically a 24" race bmx). If you are comparing it to other frames like a capital 2, maybe have a look at bb height on 24s with 65mm suspension (cap2 will be dramatically lower) and head angle also with 65mm (cap2 will also be dramatically steeper, due to it being designed for low sus and NOT cruiser forks)

Sorry about the rant, but it is thick, stupid people like you,who make idiotic statements with no sense behind them that ruin this website.

oops! found the image

http://www.k-124.co.uk/images/bikes/L_Hooliganbike_1.jpg

it IS a cruiser frame. it is not designed for suspension, and rides shit with a high bb and slack head angle if suspension is fitted

flag gary1 (Jul 6, 2009 at 7:30)
24" Cruisers should have a Euro BB. It's retarded to make them without one. Most of them run an external, threadless headset too.
  • + 1
flag shrubber (Jul 6, 2009 at 8:41)
24" cruisers are just big bmxes same geo and idea..... therefore how does it make it retarded to have a spanish bb (BMX) and integrated headset (BMX) afterall, it is just a big bmx...?

you are seriously dumb and obviously have no clue
  • + 1
flag gary1 (Jul 6, 2009 at 8:42)
Race cruisers usually run MTB cranks. XTs and XTR are favourite.
  • + 1
flag shrubber (Jul 6, 2009 at 8:48)
is it a race cruiser though? no its just a bmx cruiser? like most other bmx cruisers (shadow con invisible man for example) it will have a BMX bb? Headset has no input whatsoever because press fit, intergrated and semi intergrated exist on all bikes.

From your reasoning you are saying that anything with a euro/mtb bb is definately a mountain bike.... oh wait some wethepeople frames and eastern frames are euro, does that make them mountain bikes? and because my bike has a spanish bb, it must therefore be a bmx

lol you obviouslly have no clue and are just digging a deeper and deeper hole!

why dont u admit you are terribly terribly wrong?
  • + 1
flag gary1 (Jul 6, 2009 at 8:52)
Just a second ago, you said it was "basically a 24" race bmx".

Oh dear...
  • + 1
flag shrubber (Jul 6, 2009 at 8:55)
yea because i thought u would probably understand that, correct it is BASICALLY a 24" race bmx, with same geo. But it isnt, it is made of steel. Not alu or carbon fibre

haha you suck and are so wrong its incredible

flag shrubber (Jul 6, 2009 at 9:06)
hahahahahahahahhaha flawed logic! hahahah you are the definition of flawed logic!

you - "no but if it is a cruiser it must have mtb bb, otherwise it is just definately a bmx"

oh wait.... no
  • + 1
flag gary1 (Jul 6, 2009 at 9:08)
No. nononononono. you do not get my point. its funny you don't, because I even spelled it out. ololololololol.
  • + 1
flag Macks (Jul 6, 2009 at 9:09)
I'm sorry but, he never said "no but if it is a cruiser it must have mtb bb, otherwise it is just definately a bmx". He said they USUALLY have Euro BBs and USUALLY run MTB Cranks.
  • + 1
flag shrubber (Jul 6, 2009 at 9:13)
true but was he not implying that? he made his opening controversial statement regarding the BB and headset. Has he not ever seen a BMX cruiser before? he made comments relevant to everything apart from the geometry. Geometry makes a bike what it is, not necessarily what BB or headset it runs... how can you both not see this???
  • + 1
flag gary1 (Jul 6, 2009 at 9:17)
Ok then. Another point, kinda ironic its nothing to do with geometry, but why does the Hooligan have "Reinforced chainstay grind plates."

Surely you would only be interesting in grinding a street or park bike, no?
  • + 1
flag Macks (Jul 6, 2009 at 9:18)
Dunno, don't care to be honest. I'll ride my shit till it breaks, regardless of silly geometry.
  • + 1
flag Macks (Jul 6, 2009 at 9:20)
Braaap!
  • + 1
flag shrubber (Jul 6, 2009 at 9:23)
a bmx cruiser, used to ride as a bmx.....? a bmx can be run with pegs, therefore will be grinded, therefore needing reinforced grind plates?

a video of the owner of SUNDAY BMX may help explain this mind boggling issue you are having.

http://www.sundaybikes.com/v3/tag/model-c/#top

scroll down to almost the bottom.....

also notice the geometry having near identical geometry to the 24bikes hooligan frame

oh shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh haha
