haha, it might be ugly but it's amazingly plush, steepens the headtube angle for quicker steering and handling. of course it's user preference, but it sure is trendy!
people can always buy the bike, sell off the fork and get something with longer travel like a junior t or even a fox 36 talas
lol, not at all man. frame's almost new, the bearings are sealed so even if i took a super macro picture you wouldn't see anything there, i can get him to take a pic and post it if you really want to though.
2004 p3 was his brother's, who only did tiny little unionville forest dirt jumps with it. then went to him, he bought a new 06 heckler and rode it at blue a few times, realized it wasn't his thing and a street bike would be a lot more useable esp. with me and another close friend building up street bikes.
he's never done spins on it, lol, no crashes other than the occasional fall off his bike @ blue sliding out. solid tank of a bike!
only reason to choose a pike over a talas would be the price, lol. if money was no option then the talas 36 would be the perfect soulmate to the heckler..
