what you do is you place your feet to the side of the bike while squeesing them together there for the bike wont slip out. if that makes any sence.
I have a trampoline bike like that and since i have used it for so long the back end has bent in from clamping my feet against the frame so i think is time to get a new one

its foam. with a layer or maybe 2 of duck tape. so not really that much ducktape?! geez.
