I believe he is using the inside chainring as his single ring.

Thats what I thought. I like it! Would like to do the same but was wondering what he did to space the rear correctly?? Im diggin it!!

Well first of all the chainline may not be quite right, we cannot assume that it is set up correctly. Secondly, if it is correct, he probably has a cassette hub that allows the cog to be run far enough in on the splines that it can line up with the chainring up front.

the chainring is slightly off as i'm running a driver rear hub but im running the widest chain i can find to allow for it.
the front is a 26t soon to be 25 and the rear is an 11t driver.
