You can't weld magnesium without some very special equipment! heat that metal up, and a chainreaction will burn it to ashes(don't believe me?, look up a "Magnesium fire starter bar")...

Are you serious?
What could possibly be your logic explanation into thinking rockshox is crap?

Please...tell me.

But first I'll have a guess.
Perhaps you see more broken rockshox forks because there are so many out there! Come on, hop on the Jazza train and think about it.

Let's just say there's 10'000 fox 40's out there, and 10% of them go bust. That makes 1000 40's broken.

Then there's rockshox. There might be 100'000 of their forks out there, they also have a 10% go bust rate, so there's 10'000 broken forks. and thus you will see more broken rockshox's. But does that nescessarily make them worse? NO IT DOESNT.

Same goes with the infamous kona bikes. They arent crap, it's just they are more abundant than other bikes in most areas, and they generally get used for more agressive freeride. So does seeing more broken make then crap? Or maybe it just has to do with the fact that there is more of them.

Think about it man.

f*cking kids.

I ruined my boxxer at Keystone in about 6 days of riding. Thanks god for warranties, I blew out the internals. We are in a transitional period of our sport, bikes have gotten lots of sweet travel and they are relatively light - but not as durable as we'd like. Its frustrating, because these days pushing limits on yor bike is expensive. Getting DH stuff warrantied seems harder than with road or XC, its like the comanies know that were killin the stuff or somethin. Pushing limits on your snowboard just make going to the doctor more expensive.
