very true, I didn't think my comment out above any brand of bike can have this happen. I was just stating that kona has had a recent problem with the headtubes on some of their recent bikes. I dont have any experience with kona so I wont judge them anymore.
Im suprised that the front rim doesnt have much damage apart from the flat tire because if the force of the fall had that effect on the frame, i could imagine what it could have done to the rim. I might be wrong though, he could have landed on the triple clamps or some other part of the bike. Still, i might be wrong.
Seat is missing... would you find it up your arse after a crash as epic as one that would break an Iron Horse. haha

yeah they are. of course bikeshops still have iron horses for sale, but there is no waranty and you will never see a new iron horse made.

In the UK, warranties are unaffected, as the warranty is through the importer not the manufacturere, and the importer has shed loads of spares for warranty issues. I dont know about the situation in the Americas, but I assume it will be similar.

nah its the new sunday.. the decided to steepen the head angle alot to increase turning ability, and then bent down tube is for wheel clearnace, cant wait to get one!
konas crack at the head tube and seperate from the main triangles because they are POS. this bike looks like it went flying into a tree and the tree hit the down tube or the guy landed on his nose super steep resulting to a face plant and broken arm?

konas are good bikes. perfect for someone trying to get into the sport. but as for being the ultimate DH race bike, theres better choices, but they aren't bad bikes.

if u wrote it to me thatdownhillkid,i need to ask,have u ever heard of 'big numbers rule' meaning,that there are thousands,maybe millions of konas......THATS why u see a lot of them snaped,broke,cracked.Excuse me,but Kona bikes are perfect for someone to get in the sport?Tell that to fabien barel or tracey mosley,or robbie bourdon,or wade simmons,john cowan,and all the big names that rode Kona bikes,and broke the limits of the sport at that time.Also if u remember grant allen going flat in disorder 3 from like a 15m road gap....and the stab primo stayed in one piece.Ive rode like 40-50 kind of frames,and after a lot and even more of good frames i say that stab supreme frames,are one of the best designed,and best geometry for downhill.Peace guys.

but intense and santa-cruz are wayyyy overpriced. i mean £2500 just for the frame! i could buy a decent fully made new bike for that price.

bro i use konas for what they are designed to do, and thats going big, yeah maybe im smooth sometimes but im still a huicker at heart when i get on a 7" travel bike. this guy in this pic mustve got it really wrong to do that to his bike.
that cant be true iron horse os on eof the strongest dh frame you would have to drop a boulder to do that and to bend the frame like that and walk out of it with just a broken arm
iron horse arent the strongest frames cos there built to be light so there has been strength sacrificed. the strongest dh frame would probably be a karpeil

Mark, its probably better than what u ride , if this was a kona pic, everyone would say it would be normal, and plus its bent not broken off...
shut up, every bike has a breaking point, some frames are weaker than anothers, but we all know that IH is a great bike. and by the way, this is the first IH frame that I see snapped, so tell me, what reason do you have to say that ?

Well if it hasn't been said, He will be able to sell the rear half of the bike as Iron horse is out of business, and no doubt people will be looking for those parts.
i had the exact same bike.. and i hit a tree going down the mountain here doubt anyone has heard of it unless your a skiier or snowboarder but its called blue mountain but anyways i was going down the hill hit the jump cleared the gap and my A$$ end slide out from under me and i tried to turn and BOOOM Goodnight Tree Hello Doctor..
