That would suit me nicely. Is it 1080 or 720 ?..mini dv's ? with 24, 30, 60 fps capability ? would you rent it out ?

its native is 720, with the option of 1080, and yes it does all the variable framerates, and it films to mini dv's, but no i wont rent it out, sale only.

Very nice camera, but sweet jesus, how long would it take someone to learn how to operate it properly? Just curious, as I have been thinking of starting some filming of my own...

haha not too long really, spend like an hour browsing through the operation manual and that will teach you tons, it can be used in auto mode, but manual is the way to go. The ENG (engnostics) of the camera are super similar to a really high end production camera, so i really like that, but to be honest if you played around with it for a week youd really start to understand it well, doesnt take that long, its pretty user friendly
