My Norco doesn't have that 'huge' specialized logo- I wonder if they 'asked' that be placed on all FSR rear-ends from 09 on.......

so that means if you buy a norco frame your going to be paying a bit extra ontop of what you should in royalties to specialized? why not do what a heap of other companys who want a horst style movement do and have the shock driven by a rocker rather than a push/drive link

Guessing Norco is either too lazy to design something really original, or the FSR design is just that good?

norco just doesn't have any original ideas so they have to copy others. pretty much like tons of other companies do as well

sk8erstrt... Norco is an amazing company who has had many GREAT and original ideas for years now. And this shouldnt come as a surprise to many people because most of their FSR frames have had the Specialized logo on them or years. And also, all the Norco brochures have a big Specialized logo (usually on the back page) that says the patent and such. It has been like this for years so i dont know what all the fuss is about.

FSR/4-bar/Horst Link is a proven design, hence why it is licensed to other companies, no different than VPP or DW-Link. It doesn't mean a company is "lazy".
