as in the words of top gear, the evo is a car designed on the track like the nurburgring, but for the drive back from there u need the impreza!

trust me, i know everything there is about these 2 cars as i have an impreza and i know plenty of people with evo's!

and who cares if the Evo's come with 400bhp, that particular model cant be tuned to go higher than 550bhp....where as a impreza WRX STI WR1 comes with 340bhp stock, it can be tuned to go well over 700BHP

Also, some evos (most commonly the NEW ones) have to be serviced every 4,000 miles, where as the latest and most powerful imprezas need service every 12,000 miles.

Yet again comes the competition factor, yes these cars are in competition with each other as they both are 4WD, 2.5 litre engines ( 2 litre on older models) resonable priced, Ex rally bred cars, Japanese, and try to out sell each other. Power may not matter, but some people look to customise cars, not just buy them stock and leave them.

The Evo IX FG-400 can beat a Lamboghini (cant remember model) around the top gear test track, where as a Impreza WRX STI can beat a lambo murchialago in a 1/4 mile drag race by 2.67 seconds...proven!!!

If you want an arguement about impreza's or evos them bring it, if not, shut up and just admire the picture, thats what were here to do right???

Oh and another thing, yea the evo may be faster around the track, but on the open roads the impreza is in its own because of the engine, it hunkers down on the road and uses the curvature of the road to stay in grip, thats why mcrae won so many rallies, only because the imprezas faster than the fastest evo's off the track.

Yea some vtec engines are fast, bt only if u tune them. If u put a civic up against a standard impreza or evo (no turbo or mods, just stock) and it will beat the civic! vtecs are reliable, a standard skyline can push out 260bhp but can be tuned to well ovee 1000bhp and u wont push the pedal 2 hard, if u do then ur a f@&!ing idiot and cant drive fast cars safely!!

Another thing is a civic type-R has 150bhp, so i would b interested as to how u can put ur foot down and get a speeding ticket :s! Hell a ford fiesta ST is quicker than that with 190bhp!!!!
