im not gonna lie i liked the old design better
Just a note, but with most of Giant's recent high-end bikes, they've been going for all out performance, which can frequently compromise the aesthetics. I'm not sure if many of you are interested in road bikes, but the new TCR Advanced SL's were redesigned for 2009 to take advantage of optimal tube shapes, regardless of traditional styling. You can see how the R&D from that translates well into the new Reign X. The old ones were kick-ass and I'm excited to see how these ride.
dude i think this thing is better, just look at standover clearance, same as wheels. im officially saving up for a complete next season.

dont get me wrong i bet it works really well but this is one of the uglier bikes ive ever seen. just sayin.

i think thats sick the old design looked bbetter but the geometry on the smalls will be better cause when you hit a jump/drop and bottum out the wheel hits the seat, well thats the old one hopefully fixed up

You may not like the way it looks but they're finally taking weight off their frames! Personally I love it!
You know, I just got and 09 SX trail frame, and I do think it's ugly, but specialized has a heritage for building bikes that handle well and can handle alot ( i have been riding them for the past 7 years) , and so does giant, but if I had to choose between this frame and the 09 sx, it might be a tough decision, the 09 sx trail frame weighs 10.5 pounds.. it is built strong, that is for sure, but giants suspension works really well, and it would be nice to ride something that was closer to 30lbs than 40. I really like this new reign...but I guess I dont have to decide being that I have already bought the SX....too little to late I guess.
IT LOOKS LIKE A 2009 REIGN! If it didn't have swoopy tubes, it wouldn't look like a Norco. It doesn't look like an Iron Horse, either. It annoys me when people say crap like that. The downtube swoops so the piggyback reservoir doesn't hit it when fully compressed. Ask Fisher why their bikes have swoopy downtubes. Those shocks are mounted on the toptube.

ew, a good bike and all, and my personal opinion, but its pretty ugly, the bent tubes are redonkulous
All giant bikes are having the same looking frame for next year!
The trance, reign and the glory will all have that, get use to it, personally i think it looks soo sexy, and now you can actually tune your shock! The previous reigns and glory's had the damn hole in the downtube, not no more, maestro is the best suspension design ever.

they should lower that bench completly and tilt it back to make it look more slopestylish and it would look so much better!
