I like it when pods are just normal quality photos of sick riders doing sick tricks. Alot of us have awesome pictures that will never be pod because we don't own photoshop or an expensive camera. So I say bring on the lower quality pods!

okay lets be fair, that's a very poor quality POD! loads of DJ riders can do that (i can not, but that is because i ride DH) and the back ground could be replicated loads places, i think we need some more POD and VOD's for a amateurs among us, who do a bloody good job!

Another POD from Post Office, Aptos. Trick is great, but this photo sucks.. Can't you choose better quality pictures? There's a lot of them, and some had much more faves just after one day than this while it's POD some hours.

I don't think anyone is questioning Cgroves photo ability, he has a lot of great photos in his portfolio which are indeed POD material.
I would very much doubt that he would agree that this is one of his best pics.
The problem is that who ever is picking the POD's this week (Tea lady perhaps) doesn't seem to grasp the concept of what makes a truly good POD weather it be an amazing pro shot or a one off lucky capture where all the right elements fall into place at the right time or even a funny shot.
The general consensus is, that this and other shots this week which have been POD's have been sadly below par from what we have been accustomed too.

Cool move. Plain photo.
I agree with the comments that a POD should be both a good move/rider and a good picture/photographer. I also agree with the comments that amateur photographers should be able to be recognized. ...and average riders too.
It doesn't take an expensive camera and photo program to take a good photo. A camera is only a tool. Expensive tools are nice, but cheap tools also work. It just takes some care and attention when the picture is taken. Don't just point and shoot. Think. Compose. Shoot.
