the foreground would be right at the front, fore meaning front, middle been the bottom of the landing and the ride, background been the sky and top of landing with the grass

Holy... I think I know what fore, middle & background is man & the whole landing is foreground because it is in front of my subject (the rider), there is no middle ground & the sky is the BG... it's really not that tricky... in front of subject = foreground (hence the fore part) & behind them is the BG & below them is the middle or your it's just ur subject is the middle ground.

Check out this link of a photo I took of him on 27 April 2009 doing the same thing: http://adrianm.pinkbike.com/album/Paarl/ You can see the fence behind him that Eric is talking about and a bit of the table top. At one point his back wheel was in front of his front wheel. I was just to late to capture it on my cheapie. Yes, and if you get the landing wrong, you'll know about it sure enough. South Africa is producing some great riders (Minnaar, Neethling brothers, Maree etc.).....he's not SA's 2009 champ for nothing.
