wtf dude
i true, if you put a little oil or teflon lube on the sliders its lets it start sliding easier. but yeh, 7. whats the point in spendin all that money on parts if then you dont adjust them to your weight etc. send them off with your weigh height etc an they'll sort it no probs,
has no one realized that this is exactly what should be happening? if the bike is set up for downhill you should be able to bottom it out on flat, add a small ledge and you should be getting harsh bottoms
exactly. the suspension has about 1.5 inches of sag and its perfect for me. marzocchi forks dont oil the stanchions while it slides like fox so they feel sticky as hell if you leave them dry. and when i bought the bike, it showed a table according to your weight and height for each size. apparently they were correct so i have no issues
buddy.. you have a downhill bike, droping a 3 inch curb, and your bottoming out both forks and rear shocks. Please...
Set up the bike properly, k. There is no way that a bike like yours should do that, at least off a curb.

yeah, but NOT in a 5 inches drop !
if it bottoms in that drop, how can it handle with a 'normal' drop ?
is that hard to understand ?

you look like my science teacher just more.. tan i guess and younger
my friend agrees if i can find a pic of my science teacher ill let you in on it
hahaha alright. my face is deformed. must be from all that pressure and force. oh yeah. this dude named jumphilo on pb looks like my physics teacher also! hahaha
LoL i have never heard apostrophe eyes before. i have a friend who always calls me round eye so that works out well.
hahaha. my friend just made it up cuz the period and the comma thingy is like the chinky eyes. i always make fun of this white girl and said she has bigger eyes. she said she can see better than me LOLOL. but yeah i suppose she can
i have a friend who looks like you, and we do the samething all the time. he would post something like this too.
Well what's downhill for you joexspocent92? Gravel fire roads? Seriously, I'm not trying to bitch but you're going to break your bike with suspension like that. In real downhill course/trails, that would not stand a chance.
haha id be happy with gravel roads as well - i was just saying that its pointless to bottom out off a curb and that could put some 'wear and tear' on your shock.
Suspension should NOT bottom out off a kerb. If it's bottoming just now then you must be running like 50% sag. For dh the ideal sag is 33%. Anyway I think your forks and shock are air assist, so just put some air in.
naw theyre just bolts on top, which is super gay meaning i dont even have preload adustments. i think it should, because i bunny hopped and landed as hard as i could
ya i would say its fine, if you used all for force to bottom it, it should bottom, like any other bike. i can bottom my azonic recoil with dorados by doing the samething.
wtvr this is just a stoopid as picturee... with an ever more retarded explanation
who the fuk cares waht u do to ure fork? or y ure not wearing a helmet to hop off a cruve? big deal big shitt

unoe joe, if you put ur full face on and did this. u probably wouldve gotten a shit load more of favs/comments..
my friend, nikita-chrenowski, bottomed out a demo 9 with 2010 boXXers just by hopping (and for all of you 10 year olds who say "its not possible!" your wrong, even ask him yourself
like the one in my album? the guy is my neighbour, and I think that was on purpose, if it was not, that's weird ... because he jumped off a 1 meter drop
oh. i didnt see what i was looking for, but it was a blurry bottom out pic of a bighit. he missed the roadgap and cased it. it was POD
you always have this one too http://www.pinkbike.com/photo/2641526/
i didnt read the description sorry. my bike is having troubles too. worst 270 ive spent. the crap rimms couldnt handle bunnyhops. so now i going to sell the suposedly untrueable rims to some dumbass at a flea market and get new ones
yea i know its just i have no money. im going to try my hardest to get a job will be a chalange as i just turned 15 but im sure there is something i can do. there is a labor office down my avenue ill 'inqure within'

look at all those reasons that fork is a crummy fork, dude just buy a BOS and break that piggyback off at fontana hitting some grody ass rock!
at least i can last longer without a service and huck! haha. naw im just gonna keep it until i ride the crap out of it. then maybe a fox 40. or a fox 40 right now and hang the 888 on my wall and use it as art. then use it if the 40 breaks
huntington beach? do they have trails there? that city is nice. my dream is to live there as an adult
haha sick. isn't that 888 an rcv? because it should have compression if it is. Anyway, no need because squishy is the way to go. my suspension setup is super soft
naw its just an RV. its got bolts on the top haha. for me, its perfect because its good enough for dh and leaves 1 inch of travel to spare. in this case, i put all my weight and muscle on it hahaha. plus my fork has perfect sag. surprisingly
6. buy a stiffer spring for the shock so that doesn't happen! 7. openin up the fork isnt hard, it wont explode!

"im not wearing my helmet because my house is on the left."
does this mean that i can do what i like in front of my house cos i won't come off
NO
does this mean that i can do what i like in front of my house cos i won't come off
oh. what the eff? was it like technical and had no space to pull up? i had the whole sidewalk as a runoff and lots of landing space. but yeah i'll wear my helmet next time

most stock 888 will do this if you want thm 2 i have an rc2x and if i wind ALL the compressiona nd preload out then it bottoms off a curb, and marzzichi uses a open bath lubrication systerm so there is no need to spray shit on the stantion they are always coated in a fine layer of oil
theyre not coated with oil. the open bath damper is really simple, actually. i just sprayed teflon because i didnt service the fork. the fork becomes more stiff if its not serviced haha
lmfao to #4 if your to lazy to open up your fork and add oil then pay a bike shop 40 dollars to do it.
yeah. after i serviced it, the fork was twice as active and less harsh on my wrists. its the 2008 iron horse yakuza kumicho

everyone on pinkbike is retarded. if you knew anything about downhill you would know that you wan your suspension really soft, so quit telling this guy to set up his bike right cause no one on here knows shit. also it says in his description he is trying to bottom it out. it obviously doesnt just do that
i gotta redo it though, since i dont have a helmet on. i plan to dedicate a whole picture album about bottoming out LOL

Trail: front of my house
Riders: Joseph Moon (me)
Description: tried to bottom off a curb. i know im not wearing my helmet because my house is on the left. and it was only a curb. and dont say my suspension isnt set up correctly because 1, i dont have compression. 2, i dont have external preload adjustments. 3, i only have rebound. 4, i dont want to open my fork and put more oil in. and 5, i put oil on the stanchions so it slides better
