I find pads in this style don't offer protection in a big 'off'. Why not keep the knee cup on the knee and let the shin protection slide up? That might be an innovation. I'm more interested in protecting my knees in a fall than my shins.
If you look at that picture with the knee bent, I'd say the knee is still pretty exposed. How is it that there are so many companies that still basically copy the 1999 Roach pads even though they don't work? We need some actual riders in some of these companies.
