From 1991 to 1996, purple ano was very popular. I consider 1991 to be pretty early nineties.

Still wrong, 1996 is anything but early 90's. 1991 most people were still riding barely polished aluminium parts, a lot were still riding steel at the lower end of the market. 91 was the first time you started seeing anodised barends on peoples bikes - that's a little different to multicoloured everything in a few years time.
