Any problems with dropping the chain between the chairing and bashguard with this setup?

Yes. The '09 Saint cranks have thicker chainring tabs which put the chainring further away from the bashguard. If the chain drops it can get wedged between the chainring and bashguard. That is why the stock Saint bash has a 2mm step. I
m curious as to how this setup has been working.
