I will agree that Mammoth is sick, probably best in the US but I think you're getting a bit ahead of yourself saying it's more gnarly than Whistler.

well it doesn't have the drops and jumps that whistler does, but it's all just deep deep dust and rocks.

But that's exactly what I mean... it's just all that super fine powdery dust and jagged rocks. Mammoth is sick, dont get me wrong, but it's no Whistler. All of Mammoth is just one type of terrain because the entire area is just a massive caldera, similar to yellowstone. Whistler offers so much more diversity in terrain and obtsacles that Mammoth just cant compete. Not to mention, they've been at it longer than anyone too.

I'm stoked for Mammoth to open though, they supposedly added a bunch of new stuff this year.

thats totally true..i met this one guy at my local races and he said when he broke a finger in the US, it cost him nearly 400 bucks, but at his whitsler trip he got badly hurt and he only paid like 4 bucks.
